The Secretary of the Senate returned
The bill entitled an Act to provide for the repayment out
of the storage and outage on tobacco, of moneys heretofore
demanded and received by the Inspectors of Tobacco, in
violation of the Acts of 1864, chapter 346, and 1865, chap-
ter 194, and to repeal the Act of 1867, chapter 148, in
relation to that subject.
Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays, with proposed
amendment."
Amendment proposed:
Insert at end of 7th line, after the word "indirectly," for
outage on tobacco charged to the owner or his agent, and
paid for reinspection, over and above the legal charge of
fifty cents per hogshead for re-drawing, also, all sums so
paid.
