NEGATIVE — None.

 

The Secretary of the Senate returned the following
House bills endorsed " passed by yeas and nays."

The bill entitled an Act to amend and re-enact the 135th
section of the 12th Article of the Code of Public Local Laws,
title " Harford county," sub-title "Sheriffs."

Also,

The bill entitled an Act to appropriate a certain sum of
money to Honorable Philip F. Thomas for public services.

On motion of Mr. Hall,
(The rules being suspended,)

Leave was granted to the Allegany delegation to introduce
a bill to provide for the indexing the records in the office of
Register of Wills for Allegany county.

Mr. Nicolai (the rules being suspended) submitted the fol-
lowing order :

Ordered that the Chairman of the Committee on Claims
be authorized and directed to pay to the Sergeant-at-arms of
the House and the parties summoned by an order of this House,
to appear before the committee on fixing the time of labor
in the Cotton Factories of this State, the usual amount of
mileage and per diem.

Which was read.

Mr. Legg moved to lay the order on the table.
Decided in the negative.

Mr. Wentz moved to refer the order to the Committee on
Claims.

Pending the consideration of which,
Mr. Harden moved,

That the House do now adjourn until Monday morning at
leven o'clock.
