Mr. Latrobe submitted the following
JOINT RESOLUTION.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That His
Excellency, the tt-overnor, be and he is hereby requested to
issue a commission, in the usual form, to the Honorable Geo.
Vickers, as Senator to represent the State of Maryland in the
Congress of the United States for the unexpired portion of
the term for which the Honorable Philip Francis Thomas
was elected at the last session of the General Assembly.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Latrobe moved that the resolution be read a second
time this day, in accordance with the provisions of the Con-
stitution, Article 3, section 28.
