Mr. Bowlus presented the petition of Richard Wootton, a
soldier of the war of 1812, for a pension.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.
Mr. Wenner presented the petition of sundry citizens of
Frederick county, protesting against the passage of any law
prohibiting the sale of ardent spirits in any portion of Hau-
ver's District.
Which was read and referred to the Frederick county
delegation.
Mr. Pentland presented the petitition of Frederick Baker,
asking a continuation of a pension heretofore granted to
him.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.
Mr. Richards presented the petition of Merrett S. McNa-
mee, Smith H. Keetley and 51 other citizens of Cecil county,
Md., praying the passage of an Act prohibiting the shooting
or trapping of Partridges for two years, from January 1st,
1868, to January 1st, 1870.
Which was read and referred to the Cecil delegation.
