of this Act, any person feeling himself or herself aggrieved,
is hereby authorized to sue the officers of the offending rail
road company in the name of the State of Maryland in any
of the courts of this State, for the sum of one hundred and
fifty dollars for each offence, one half of which sum, if recov-
ered, to go to the School Fund and the other half to the
State of Maryland. And the Clerk of the Court where the
judgment shall be obtained shall collect and pay over the
same to the proper officer of the State, deducting therefrom
ten per cent, for his labor.

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the
hill with pending amendments made the order of the day for
Monday, March 9th.
Mr. McElroy, Chairman of a select committee, (the rules
being suspended.) reported favorably a bill entitled an Act
to repeal section 20 of article 4 of the Code of Public Local
Laws, entitled Baltimore City ; sub-title, Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore, and to re-enact the same, with amend-
ments,
Which was read a first time.
The bill entitled an Act in favor of the Western Maryland
Rail Road Company, extending the time for the completion
of its road,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.
The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following hills :
The bill entitled an Act to empower the present or future
Vestry of Zion parish, in Prince George's county, to sell
and convey St. Marks' Church, commonly called Point
Chapel,
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.
The bill entitled an Act to add additional sections to the Act
oi 1867, chapter 377, to be embraced in the 22d article of
the Supplemental Code of Public Local Laws for Wicomico
county, sub-title "Salisbury," to follow section 10 of said
article,
Which was read the first time, and referred to Messrs.
Fooks, Hopkins, and Smith of Worcester.
