WEDNESDAY, January 15, 1868.

The House met, and was opened with, prayer by the Rev.
Mr. Henderson.

Present at the call of the roll the following members :

Messrs. Stewart, (Speaker,) Loker, Coad, Boyer, Beck,
Hammond, Iglehart, Dcale, Bond of Calvert, Dalrymple,
Mitchell. Chapman, Nicolai, Slingluff, Montague, Poteet,
Holmes, Biddison, Rose, Lowe, Corbin, Horsey, Percy, Stew-
art, of Dorchester, Johnson, Davis, of Cecil, Touchstone,
Richards, Mearns, Keech, Guy, Williams, Sudler, Legg,
Holloway, Smith, of Worcester, Albaugh, Dutrow, Wenner,
!Bowlus. Mayuard, Byers, Silver, Nelson, Vandiver, Brown,
Moore, Hubbard, Sanner, Wentz, Robb, Morse, Blake, La-
trobe, Pentland, Smith, of Balto. city, Bond, of Bait, city,
Colton, Mullin, Chaisty, McElroy, Harig, Markland, Mar-
shall, Conway, Syester, Coudy, Herbert, Rohrer, Seibert,
Riggs, Offutt, Conley, McCulloh, Kean, Devecmon, Trimble,
Hall, Davis, of Carroll, Jordan, Worthington, Harden,
Clark, Jones, Fooks, Hopkins—86.

The Speaker laid before the House the Report of 'he Su-
preme Bench of Baltimore city in relation to the fees of the
Clerks of the several Courts in said city.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.

Mr. Riggs presented the petition of sundry citizens of
Montgomery county, praying the passage of an Act to con-
tinue in force the present school system until July loth,
!8«8.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Edu-
cation.

Mr. Hubbard presented a petition from Curtis A. Wright,
E. T. Moore, and thirty other citizens, in relation to school
districts Nos. 3 and 8, in Caroline county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Edu-
cation.

Mr. Harden submitted the following order :

Ordered, That the special committee on the repeal of the

jury law be increased by adding one member from Baltimore

city.

Which was adopted and Mr. Mullin appointed under the
Dixler.

On motion of Mr. Hall,

Leave was granted to the Allegany delegation to intro-
duce a hill to repeal the 69th section of Article 1st of the
Public Local Laws of Allegany county and re-enact the
same.
