from running at large within seven miles of the limits of
Baltimore city,

Which was read a first time,

On motion of Mr. McElroy,
(The rules being suspended)

Leave was granted to the Baltimore City delegation to in-
troduce a bill to regulate the sessions of the City Council of
Baltimore.

Mr. Bond, of Calvert (the rules being suspended) submit-
ted the following order:

Ordered, That leave of absence for to-day be granted to
Jesse J. Dalrymple.

Which was adopted.

The time having arrived for taking up bills entitled to a
second reading,

On motion of Mr. Wentz,

The rules were suspended, and the House proceeded to the
consideration of Senate bills entitled to a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of the Mere-
dith Ford and Jarrettsville Turnpike Company, in Baltimore
and Harford counties,

Was read a third time, and passed by yeas and nays as
follows:
