Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Marshall submitted the following amendment :

Section 13. Be it enacted, That this company shall not be
authorized to charge tolls on any vehicle or horse passing-
over this road for the purpose of going to or from a funeral.

Which was adopted.

The bill as amended was then read a second time and
ordered to he engrossed for a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to provide for the compensation of
the Crier of the Circuit Court for Carroll county,

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money
to aid the Baltimore Humane Impartial Society and Aged
Womens' and Men's Home,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 151,152,153 and
154, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled Coroners and
Inquests, in the city of Baltimore, and to substitute therefor
the following,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

On motion of Mr. Pentland,
The bill was then ordered to be printed, and
Made the order of the day for Friday, March 6.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 1st, of the Act
passed at the January session of the Legislature of Mary-
land, 1865, chapter 110, entitled an Act to prohibit the
granting of license for the sale of spirituous liquors, or
lager beer, at or near Federalsburg, in Dorchester and
Caroline counties, in the State of Maryland, and to re-enact
the same with amendments,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

Mr. Iglehart, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
(the rules being suspended) reported favorably

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Frederick and
Williamsport Rail Road Company.
