Which was read and referred to the Washington county
delegation.

Mr. Hopkins presented the petition of Betsy A. White,
praying the General Assembly to pass an act to authorize
her to settle with her son, and pass a final guardian account
against him as her ward ;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary,

Mr. Devecmon presented the petition of professors of the
Jewish religion in Allegany county to keep holy the seventh
day, and pursue within their own premises their accustomed
avocation on the first day of the week ;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.

Mr. Riggs presented the memorial of Brookville Academy;

Which was read, ordered to be printed,, and referred to the
Committee on Ways and Means.

Mr. Holmes presented the petition of William Slade, Wil-
liam Rutledge and twenty other citizens of Baltimore county,
praying the passage of an act to continue the present school
system in force until July 15, 1868.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Edu-
cation.

On motion of Mr. Sanner,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
report a bill to repeal section 22 of Article 61 of the Code of
Public General Laws, entitled " Mechanic's Liens," and re-
enact the same with amendments, so as to include in its
scope and purview wharves and bridges.
On motion of Mr. Seibert,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Pensions to intro-
duce a bill to provide a pension for George Frantz, of Wash-
ington county, an invalid soldier of the War of 1812.
On motion of Mr. Nicolai,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
report a bill to amend the charter of the Bank of Collateral
Deposit, in Baltimore city.
On motion of Mr. Smith,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Smith, Holloway and Fooks,
to report a hill for re-districting Worcester county into elec-
tion districts, to he newly named and numbered.
On motion of Mr. Syester,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Printing to intro-
duce a bill to repeal the Act of 1864, chapter 405, providing
for contracts for printing by the Comptroller.
On motion of Mr. Mullin,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to repeal the 25th and 26th sections of the
