Leave was granted to the Committee on Inspections to in-
troduce a bill to repeal section 6 of Article 4, of Public Lo-
cal Laws, relating to the leasing of the State Tobacco Ware-
houses and the inspection of Tobacco, and to re-enact the
same with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Holloway,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Holloway, Smith, of Wor-
cester, and Horsey to introduce a bill to prevent the hauling
of any seine over 100 fathoms, in the waters of Parker's Bay,
Synepuxent Bay, or any of the bays or their tributaries on
the eastern side of Worcester county, above George's Island
Landing.

Mr. Mitchell, Chairman of the Committee on the Judi-
ciary, reported unfavorably,

A bill entitled an Act to amend the tenth Article of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Dorchester county, by adding
thereto the following sections relating to the jurisdiction of
Justices of the Peace for said county.

The report was adopted.
Also, unfavorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 10 of Article 37 of
the Code of Public General Laws, title "Evidence," sub-
title "Attendance and pay of witnesses," and to re-enact the
same to read as follows.

The report was adopted.
Also, favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize Amelia A. Long and
Win. H. Roach, of Somerset county, to settle their guardian
accounts as temporary guardians to Alexander Long, of said
county.

Which was read a first time.

Also, favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 16 of Article 11 of
the Code of Public General Laws, entitled ''Attorneys at
Law and Attorneys in Fact," and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

Which was read a first time.
Also, favorably

A bill entitled an Act to provide for a new Code of the
Statute Law of the State, and to appropriate a sum of money
for that purpose.

Which was read a first time.
