Which was rejected.

Mr. Smith, of Baltimore city, submitted the following
order:

Ordered, That leave of absence for ten days be granted
Mr. Syester, of Washington county.

Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Smith, of Worcester,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Smith, of Worcester, Hollo-
way, and Horsey, to report a hill to repeal section 38 of Ar-
ticle 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws relating to Wor-
cester county.

On motion of Mr. Coudy,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means
to introduce a bill to appropriate a sum of money to the
Sisters of Mercy, at Cumberland, Allegany county.

On motion of Mr. Smith, of Worcester,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Smith, of Worcester, Hol-
loway and Horsey, to report a bill to protect the owners
of cattle and of other stock in Worcester county.

On motion of Mr. Colton,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means
to introdrce a bill to appropriate a sum of money to pay
David Fowler for legal services in the Comptroller's De-
partment.

On motion of Mr. Herbert,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to introduce
a bill authorizing the Treasurer, on the warrant of the Comp-
troller, to refund to Ambrose Ingman money erroneously
paid into the Treasury.

On motion of Mr. McElroy,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
repeal the Act of 1867, chapter 425, entitled an Act to in-
corporate an institution in Baltimore city called the Bank of
Collateral Deposit, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

On motion of Mr. Bowlus,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill to incorporate the First National Horse and
Mule Insurance Company of Beallesville, of Frederick
county.

On motion of Mr. Bond, of Calvert,
