Which was read and referred to Messrs. Smith, of Wor-
cester, Holloway and Horsey.

Mr, Legg presented a petition from A. J. Thawley and 50
others, against the repeal of the Funeral Law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

Mr. Mitchell presented the memorial of members of the bar
of the Circuit Court for Charles county, praying that the
State Librarian be authorized to furnish the Clerk of the Cir-
cuit Court for said county, with such volumes of the Mary-
land Reports, Digests and Laws as were destroyed by the
Federal soldiers whilst occupying the Court House of said
county, during the late war.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Library.

Mr. Wenner presented the petition of E. Parker, Lewis
Rodrick, H. C. Hammond, and 20 other citizens of Frederick
county, against the repeal of the Funeral Law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

Mr. Davis, of Carroll, presented the petition of James H.
Steele and others of Frederick and Carroll counties, against
the repeal of the Funeral Law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.

Mr. Coudy submitted the following order :

Ordered, That leave of absence be granted to David Sei-
bert for three days.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Horsey submitted the following order:

Ordered, That Mr. Corbin, of Somerset have leave of ab-
sence for one day.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Keech submitted the following order:

Ordered, That leave of absence be granted Mr. C. B. Sling-
luff for two days.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Sanner submitted the following order :

Ordered, That the Clerk to the Committee on Claims be
entitled to $40 worth of stamps, he being entitled to the same
for services rendered.
