Two-thirds of the members elected to the House not hav-
ing voted in the affirmative the said bill was not read a
second time to-day.

On motion of Mr. Offutt,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to-
introduce a bill to incorporate the Savings Institution of
Sandy Spring, Maryland.

On motion of Mr. Maynard,

Leave was granted to the Frederick county delegation to re-
port a bill entitled a supplement, to the Act entitled an Act
to incorporate a company to build a turnpike road from.
Libertytown, Frederick county, through Johnsville to Pipe
Creek, passed January session. 1864, chapter 33S.

On motion of Mr. Keech,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Marlboro' and Patuxent
River Rail Road Company to locate, lay out, construct and,
operate a railroad from a point on the Baltimore and Potomac
Rail Road, not over a mile from Upper Marlboro', to a
point on the Patuxent River not higher up than Hill's Land-
ing, and not lower down than Mount Calvert.

On motion of Mr. Stewart, of Dorchester,

Leave was granted to the Dorchester delegation to intro-
duce a bill to repeal a portion of the Local Laws of Dorches-
ter county, concerning the charter of Church Creek, in Dor-
chester county.

Mr. McCulloh (the rules being suspended) presented the
petition of Henry Wagner, and 24 other citizens of Allegan
