Mr. Syester, Chairman of the Committee on Ways and
Means, reported favorably

A hill entitled an Act to repeal the several sections of
Article 56 of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled Li-
censes, and re-enact the same with amendments, and to add
additional sections thereto.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Wentz, Chairman of the Committee on Education,
reported favorably

A bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act entitled an Act to
add a new section to Article 12 of the Code of Local Laws
for Harford county, entitled Schools, relating to the Harford
County Academy, and to the Cokesbury or Abingdon Acad-
emy, and re-enact the same with an amendment restoring the
.State donation to the Harford County Academy.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Colton, Chairman of the Committee on Claims, re-
ported favorably

A bill entitled an Act to appropriate the sums of money
therein mentioned, to pay the claims of Augustus Gassaway
and R. Vinton Clayton, assignees of George Earle ; Bartlett,
Robbins & Co., Frederick Sasscer, George A. Huntt, George
E. Gambrill, William Walsh, trustee, A. Hamilton Hall,
Lewis Magruder, John M. Bond, R. Vinton Clayton, Geo.
S. White., Leonard & Townsend, James R. Alvey, Charles
Shipley, A. 8. Abell & Co., Daniel Caulk, and Jacob
Marker.

on Militia, reported favorably

A bill entitled an Act to provide for the liquidation and

settlement of Claims for arming and equipping the militia.
