516 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 26,

Ordered, That the Committee on Printing contract with
the State Printer to furnish each member of this House with
seventy-five copies of the Constitution, in the same form and
not to exceed the cost of those furnished the Senate.

Which was read.

Mr. Harig submitted the following amendment:

After the word " Constitution," insert the words, "in the
English and twenty-five copies in the German language."

Which was adopted.

The question then recurrring upon the order as amended,
it was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Hammond,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Colored Population
to introduce a bill to repeal the sections of the 6th Article of
the Code of Public General Laws, entitled White and Col-
ored Apprentices, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

On motion of Mr. Boyer,

Leave was granted the Kent and Queen Anne's delegation
to introduce a bill to amend the Public Local Law, title Kent
County, sub-title Roads, Article 14, by adding a new section
thereto.

On motion of Mr. Latrobe,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill to enable John James Jackson, an alien, to
hold, inherit and transmit real estate in the State of Mary-
land.

On motion of Mr. Mearns,

Leave was granted the Cecil county delegation to intro-
duce a bill to repeal the 134th and 135th sections of Article
8 of the Public Local Laws, title "Cecil county," sub-title
" North-east," and substitute the following in lieu thereof.

On motion of Mr. Jordan,

Leave was granted the Carroll county delegation to intro-
duce a bill to authorize the Governor to appoint an additional
Magistrate for District No. 11, Carroll county.

Also,

Leave was granted the Carroll county delegation to intro-
duce a bill to authorize the Commissioners of Carroll county
to appoint an additional Constable for District No. 11.
