bly passed at the sessions of 1861, 1861-62, 1864, 1865, 1866
and 1867, arranged in Articles and sections to correspond
with the Code, by Lewis Mayer, and to appropriate a sum of
money to purchase copies of the same and to regulate their
distribution,

Being upon a second reading,
On motion of Mr. Keech,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the
bill made the order of the day for Friday next, 28th inst.

The bill entitled an Act supplementary and amendatory
of an Act, passed at this session, entitled an Act to amend
the charter of the Cumberland and Pennsylvania Rail Road
Company, passed at January session, 1849, chapter 469,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act supplemental to an Act entitled
an Act to incorporate a company to make a turnpike road
from Ellicott City to Elysville, in Howard county,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Latrobe submitted the following amendment:

Add at end of 3d section, " And provided that this com-
pany shall not be authorized to charge tolls on any vehicle
passing over this road for the purpose of going to or from a
funeral."

Which was adopted.

The bill as amended was then read a second time and or-
dered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Percy, (the rules being suspended,) submitted the fol-
lowing order :

Ordered, That one thousand extra copies of the report of
the President of St. John's College be printed for the use
of the members of this House.

Which was read.

Mr. McElroy moved to strike out the word " thousand,"
and insert the word hundred.

Mr. Chapman submitted the following amendment:

Strike out the words " one thousand," and insert the words
five hundred.

Which was adopted.

The question then recurring upon the adoption of the
order as amended,

It was adopted.
