27th instant.

The bill entitled an Act granting the assent of the Gene-
ral Assembly of Maryland to a legacy bequeathed by the
last will and testament of Lydia Styer, late of Allegany
county, deceased, to the English Lutheran Church of Frost-
burg,

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to declare the sanction of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland to the bequest of Catherine
Morton, late of Calvert county, deceased, to the vestry of
St. Paul's Parish, in said county,

Was read a second time and ordered to he engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to give the assent of the Legisla-
ture of this State to a bequest in the will of Susan A. Good-
win, late of Charles county, deceased, to the vestry of Trinity
Parish, in said county.

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day, the House proceeded to the consideration of

The bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed February
5th, 1867, chapter 24, entitled an Act to add two additional
sections to the 30th Article of the Code of Public General
Laws, entitled "Crimes and Punishments," relating to
Funerals.

Which was read a second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

The House then took up for consideration the second order
of the day, being

The Majority and Minority Reports of the Committee upon
the State Tobacco Warehouses.

Pending which,

On motion of Mr. Montague,

The reports were referred to the Committee on Inspec-
tions.

The bill entitled an Act to legalize a supplement to the
