Mr. Dalrymple, from the Committee on the Judiciary, re-
ported favorably

A bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with amend-
ments, section 612, of Article 4, of the Code of Public Local
Laws, entitled city of Baltimore, and relating to the selection
of talesmen for the several courts of said city.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Biddison, chairman of a select committee, reported
favorably

The Senate bill entitled an Act to promote the efficiency of
the Orphans' Court of Baltimore county.

Which was read a second time, and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

Mr. Chapman, chairman of a select committee, reported

favorably

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 40, Article 9, of
the Public Local Laws, of Charles county, entitled Elections,
and relating to election districts, and to enact the following
in lieu thereof.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Smith, chairman of a select committee, reported favor-
ably

A bill entitled an Act to repeal the charter incorporating
the town of Snow Hill, in Worcester county, and enact the
following in lieu thereof.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Corbin, from a select committee, reported favorably

A bill entitled an Act to add to Article 19, of the Code of
Public Local Laws, of Somerset county, entitled Jurors, an
additional section.

Which was read a first time.
On motion of Mr. Syester,

The vote by which the message to the Senate was adopted
on Friday last, proposing the appointment of a joint com-
mittee to take into consideration the message of the Executive
and accompanying papers relative to the election of the
Hon. Philip Francis Thomas to the Senate of the United
States,

Was reconsidered, and the whole subject referred to the
Committee on Federal Relations.
