A bill entitled an Act to amend and add additional sec-
tions to the Act passed at the January session, 1867, of the
General Assembly of Maryland, entitled an Act to establish
and incorporate an Asylum for the Deaf and Dumb of the
State of Maryland, and to follow section fifteen.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Iglehart, Chairman of the Committee on Corpora-
tions, reported favorably

The hill entitled an Act to repeal the charter or Act of
incorporation of the Locust Point Steam Ferry Company of
Maryland.

Which was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Chestnut Sum-
mit Avenue Company.

Which was read a first time.
Also,

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Maryland
Union Coal Company.

Which was read a second time and ordered to he engrossed
for a third reading.

Mr. Latrobe, from the Committee on Ways and Means,
reported

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 1st and
2d of the Act of Assembly of 1862, chapter 234, entitled an
Act to amend an Act to provide for the erection of a hos-
pital for the insane of this State, and sections 4th, 5th, 6th
and 8th of the Act of Assembly of 1864, chapter 248, en-
titled an Act for the government of the Insane Asylum, and
to regulate admissions thereto, and to enact the following
sections in lieu thereof:

With proposed amendment.
Amendment proposed:

Amend by inserting in section 2, line 2, after the name of
Washington Duvall the name of Cathell Humphreys.

Which, was adopted.

The bill as amended was then read a second time and or-
dered to be engrossed for a third reading.
