Mr. Percy presented the petition of B. L. Smith, Alex.
Woolford. and 80 other citizens of Dorchester county, against
the using of scoops and dredging in taking oysters in Little
Choptank river.

Which was read and referred to the Caroline and Dorches-
ter delegations.

Mr. Poteet presented the petition of Aquila Chilcoat, A.
S. Gent, and 34 other citizens of Baltimore county, praying
the passage of an Act to continue the present school system
in force until July 15, 1868.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Educa-
tion.

Mr. Boyer presented the petition of Cornelius J. Scott, T.
N. Tayman, and 100 other citizens of Kent county, to build
a bridge over Sassafras River, at Georgetown, in Kent
county, and Fredericktown, in Cecil county.

Which was read and referred to the Cecil and Kent dele-
gations.

Mr. Wenner presented the petition of Joseph D. Main,
Henry T. Deaver and Job Miller, and 65 other citizens of
Frederick county, against the repeal of the funeral law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.

Mr. Percy presented the petition of Wm. M. Price, Tilgh-
man Hackett and Cyrus Bell, and 51 other citizens of Dor-
chester county, against the repeal of the funeral law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

Mr. Byers presented the petition of Thomas Weakley, a
soldier of the War of 1812-14, praying a pension, aged 95
years.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Pentland presented the petition of Eaton G. Horner
and Voltaire Randall, asking compensation for services ren-
dered to the State.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.

Mr. Byers presented the petition of Frederick Rider, a
soldier of the war of 1812, praying a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
