Said bill was then sent to the Senate.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered a bill entitled an Act
to exempt from taxation the structure of the Maryland and
Virginia Bridge Company over the Potomac River, between
Shepherdstown, West Virginia, and Washington county.
Maryland.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Ways and Means.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to pay Gushing & Bailey, J. E. &
G. Munroe, and Thomas A. Makibbin.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Claims.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate Harmony Lodge, No.
30, of the Independent Order of Good Templars, Boonsboro,
Washington county.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to release George W. Kennerly, a
minor, of Wicomico county.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on the Judiciary.

The following House bills, which had passed both Houses,
were this day submitted to his Excellency, the Governor, for
his approval:

An Act to amend the charter of the Baltimore Fells Point
Hebrew Friendship Congregation.

An Act to incorporate the town of Westernport, Allegany
county, Md.

An Act to authorize the Delaware Rail Road Company to
extend a Branch Rail Road across the State line into Kent
county, Md.

An Act to incorporate the Continental Fire and Marine In-
surance Company of Baltimore.
