Mr. Williams, Chairman of a select committee, reported
favorably

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 59 of Article 16 of
the Code of Public Local Laws for Prince George's county,
entitled Hucksters, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Jones, Chairman of a select committee, reported fa-
vorably

A bill entitled an Act supplemental to an Act entitled
an Act to incorporate a company to make a turnpike road
from Ellicott City to Elysville, in Howard county.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Markland, chairman of a select committee, reported
favorably

A bill entitled an Act to add to the 4th Article of the Code
of Public Local Laws, the following sections, empowering
the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, to construct, open,
enlarge or straighten sewers within the limits of the city,
and to provide the means for paying for the same, and com-
pensation for any damage to property holders, caused by the
construction, opening, enlarging or straightening of any
sewer within the limits of the city.

Mr. Johnson, from a select committee, reported favorably

A bill entitled an Act to protect oysters in Honga and
Nanticoke rivers, during the summer months.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Mutual Fire In-
surance Company, of Prince George's county,

for a third reading.

The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day, the House took up for consideration,

Howard and Carroll Rail Road Company,

Said bill being upon a second reading,
