A petition from Joshua M. Friend, Jeremiah Jamison and
others of District No, 2, of Allegany county, asking the re-
peal of the Act of 1864, chapter 103, being an Act for the
protection offish, so far as relates to said district.

Which was read and referred to the Allegany delegation.
Also,

A petition from John M. Kelley and other citizens of Al-
legany county, against the repeal of the Funeral Law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

Mr. Nicolai presented the petition of Samuel N. Whittle,
and other citizens of Baltimore county, praying the General
Assembly of Maryland to pass a law to reduce the fare on
the York Road Rail Road Company's Cars.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Cor-
porations.

Mr. Davis, of Cecil, presented the petition of Samuel B.
Ford, Samuel F. Way, and eighty-nine other citizens of
Cecil county, to build a bridge over Sassafras River at or
near Fredericktown in Cecil county, and Georgetown in
Kent county, Maryland.

Which was read and referred to the Cecil and Kent Dele-
gations.

Mr. Coad presented the petition of J. J. Gough, and 37
others, to continue the present school system until July 15th.
1868.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Educa-
tion.

Mr. Pentland presented the petition of sundry citizens of
Baltimore, asking for the passage of a law empowering the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to appoint additional
constables for said city.

Which was read and referred to the Baltimore City Dele-
gation.

Mr. Dutrow presented the petition of sundry citizens of
Frederick county praying the passage of an Act to require
non-residents and others selling carriages, reapers, grain
drills, and other agricultural implements not manufactured
in this State, to take out a license therefor.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Manu-
factures.
