Judiciary.

Mr. Harden presented the petition of Washington Barnes.,
John B. Summers and 40 other citizens of Carroll county,
against the repeal of the funeral law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

Mr. Conway presented a memorial from John Arnold and
390 other citizens of Baltimore, asking a modification of the
Sunday law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
the Judiciary.

Mr. Dutrow presented the petition of David Thomas and
27 other citizens of Frederick county, against the repeal of
the Funeral Law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary .

Mr. Nicolai presented the petition of Charles W. Martin
and 23 others, praying that a bill may be passed by the
General Assembly of Maryland, placing all enlisted and
drafted men of the years 1861, 1862, 1863 and 1864 upon an
equality.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Dutrow presented the petition of Wm. J. Sumwalt
and 32 other citizens of Frederick county, against the repeal
of the Funeral Law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.

Mr. McCulloh presented a petition from 60 citizens of Al-
legany county, asking the incorporation of the North Branch
Lumber and Boom Company.

Also,

A petition from 41 citizens of Allegany county, asking the
incorporation of the North Branch Lumber and Boom Com-
pany.

Also,

A petition from 123 citizens of Allegany county, asking
the incorporation of the North Branch Lumber and Boom
Company.

Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
