The bill as amended,

Was then read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the bill entitled an
Act to repeal sections 46 and 47 of the Code of Public Local
Laws for Somerset county, and to re-enact the same with
amendments,

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."

Mr. Colton (the rules being suspended,) submitted the fol-
lowing order:

Ordered, That A. S. Chambers, reporter in this House,
be appointed an additional Committee Clerk.

Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Herbert,

At 12 1/2 o'clock, P. M., the House adjourned until to-mor-
row, at 12 o'clock, noon.

THURSDAY, February 20, 1868.

The House met, and was opened with prayer by the Rev.
Mr. Cronin.
