The bill entitled an Act to alter and amend certain sections
and add additional sections to Article 12, of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws relating to Havre-de-Grace in Harford county,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day, the House took up for consideration the joint resolutions
expressive of the views of the General Assembly upon the
present condition of the nation.

Said Resolutions being upon a second reading.
On motion of Mr. Smith, of Baltimore city,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the
resolutions made the order of the day for Thursday, the 21th
of February.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal the 89th section
of Article 16 of the Code of Public General Laws entitled
Chancery, and relating to process against non-resident infant
defendants, as amended by the Act of 1864, chapter 89, and
to insert in said Article in lieu of the section so repealed the
following section relating to process against non-resident
infant defendants,

Being upon a third reading.
On motion of Mr. Herbert,

The bill was recommitted to the Committee on the Judi-
ciary.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate a Company to make
a turnpike road from Wood Point to the Pennsylvania line,
or to Williamsport and Mercersburg road in Washington
county,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Seibert submitted the following amendment :

Sec. 11. And be it enacted, That the width of said road
shall not he less than thirty-three feet, with a graded bed
upon the same of not less than seventeen feet in width, ten
feet of which to be covered not less than ten inches in depth
with stone, not more than three inches in any diameter.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Latrobe submitted the following amendment:

Sec. —. Be it enacted, That this company shall not be
authorized to charge tolls on any vehicles passing over this
road for the purpose of going to or from a funeral.

Which was adopted.
