Assembly of Maryland to a legacy bequeathed by the last
will and testament of Lydia Styer, late of Allegany county,
deceased, to the English Lutheran Church of Frostburg.

Which was read a first time.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to legalize a supplement to the
Maryland Code, containing the Acts of the General Assem-
bly passed at the sessions of 1861, 1861-62, 1864, 1865, 1866
and 1867, arranged in Articles and sections to correspond
with the Code, by Lewis Mayer, and to appropriate a sum of
money to purchase copies of the same and to regulate their
distribution.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Iglehart, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to require all local insurance com-
panies doing business in the city of Baltimore, to make
annual statements of their condition to the Comptroller of
the Treasury.

Which was read a first time.
Also,

A bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of the Balti-
more and Jerusalem Turnpike Company, passed at January
session, 1867, so as to increase the capital stock of the said
company.

Which was read a first time.
Also,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 14 of the Act
passed March 13th, 1867, entitled an Act to incorporate the
Baltimore and Hall's Springs Railway Company, and to re-
enact the same with amendments.

Which was read a first time.
Also,

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Union Coal, Iron,
Lumber and Manufacturing Company of Allegany county.

Which was read a first time.
Also,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the Board of Directors
of the Maryland Insurance and Security Company to reduce
the par value of the shares of the capital stock of said com-
pany, and to issue new stock in shares of such reduced
value.

Which was read a first time.
