den, R. W. Taft and 53 other citizens of Cecil county, pray-
ing the passage of an Act for the protection of birds and
rabbits in said county.

Mr. Hall presented the petition of W. E. Henshaw and 12
citizens of Allegany county, against the repeal of the funeral
law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpo-
rations.

Mr. McCulloh presented a petititon from 57 citizens of
Allegany county, asking the incorporation of the North-
Branch Lumber and Boom Company.

Also, a petition from 35 citizens of Allegany county, ask-
ing the incorporation of the North Branch Lumber and Boom
company.

Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.

Mr. Conway presented a memorial against the enacting of
a law by the General Assembly, authorizing the appointment
of an Inspector of Charcoal for Baltimore city.

Mr. Herbert presented the petition of Peter Middlekauff
and 60 other citizens of Washington county, against the re-
peal of the funeral law.

Mr. Loker presented the petition of B. G. Harris, of St.
Mary's county, praying that a law may be passed giving a
preferred lien on crops made by their use to the venders of
guano and other concentrated manures.
