On motion of Mr. Bond, of Baltimore city,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Colored Population
to introduce a bill to amend Article sixty of the Code of Pub-
lic General Laws, entitled "Licenses," by adding thereto
an additional section.
On motion of Mr. Harden,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Harden, Slingluff, Williams,
Touchstone and Smith, of Worcester, to introduce a bill en-
titled an Act to repeal the Act of 1867, chapter 329. entitled
an act to provide for the selection, drawing and summoning
of jurors in the several counties, and prescribing their qual-
ifications.
On motion of Mr. Riggs,
Leave was granted to the Montgomery and Frederick del-
egations to report a bill to repeal the Act of 1864, chapter
347, entitled an Act to repeal Section 30 of Article 15 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Montgomery county, relating
to the Courts of said county, and to enact a substitute there-
for.
On motion of Mr. McCulloh,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to re-
port a bill to make valid the levy of State tax by the County
Commissioners of Allegany county, in June, 1867.
On motion of Mr. Mullin,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to intro-
duce a hill for the relief of James W. Blackburn, late Chief
Clerk of Tobacco Warehouse No. 2, in the city of Baltimore,
for services.
On motion of Mr. McCulloh,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to report a
bill to pay William H. Loudermilk for printing done in
1866.
Also, leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations
to report a bill to authorize the construction of a bridge over
the Potomac river near the mouth of New Creek, in Allegany
county.
On motion of Mr. Harig,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to re-
port a bill entitled an Act to establish another Court in
Baltimore city, in pursuance of Article 4, Part 4, Section
39, of the Constitution of Maryland, and to change and
amend the jurisdiction of the Circuit Court of Baltimore
city.
On motion of Mr. Williams,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill to repeal the Act of 1867, chapter 148, for the
