On motion of Mr. Smith, of Worcester,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means
to report a bill providing for the publication of the Public
General Laws in additional newspapers.

On motion of Mr. Poteet,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill to incorporate the Commerce Insurance Com-
pany of Baltimore.

On motion of Mr. Legg,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to provide for a new code of
all the statute laws of the State, and to appropriate a sum of
money for that purpose.

Also,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Legg, Poteet and Pentland
to introduce a bill to repeal the Act of 1865, chapter 130,
entitled an Act to provide for the registration of Births, Mar-
riages and Deaths.

On motion of Mr. Sanner,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
report a bill to repeal sees. 179 and 180, of Article 30, of the
Code of Public General Laws relating to Sabbath breaking,
and to re-enact the same with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Bond, of Calvert.

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Baltimore and Drum
Point. Rail Road Company.

Mr. Mitchell, Chairman of the Committee on the Judiciary,
reported favorably,

A hill entitled an Act to facilitate the examination of
titles to land in Baltimore County, by authorizing the Clerk
of the Circuit Court for Baltimore County to make out gen-
eral indexes to the law and equity dockets in his office, and to
provide for paying for the same.

Which was read a first time.
Also,

The Senate bill entitled an Act for the relief of Benjamin
Frost, alias Waters.

Which was read a second time, and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.
