cessary and proper to enable it to carry on the said
operations, and it shall have the right to demand
and receive reasonable compensation for its services,
and reasonable rent, storage and wharfage, and
dockage for the use of its premises.

reservation.

Sec. 7. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage, and the
General Assembly reserves to itself the right to
alter, amend and repeal this Act at pleasure.

CHAPTER 450.
AN ACT to provide for the sale of a portion of
the furniture in the Executive Mansion.
|
Committee.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the committee appointed by an
Act of the General Assembly for the purpose of
purchasing a lot and erecting a mansion as a resi-
dence for the Governor of this State, be and they
are hereby authorized, when the house now occu-
pied by the Governor ceases to be in the possession
of the State, to sell such portions of the furniture
in the said house as they may deem expedient.
The said furniture to be sold at public sale, and
the said sale to be advertised in two of the daily
papers in Baltimore city and the city of Annapolis,
not less than three times a week for two weeks pre-
vious thereto.

Money derived
from sale.
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the money de-
rived from the sale of said furniture shall be paid
over to the Comptroller of the State, and be held
by him subject to the order of the said committee,
the said money to be used in payment for furniture
purchased for the house hereafter to be erected as
a residence for the Governor of Maryland.
