WHEREAS a number of persons in Baltimore
City, believing that the principles of the Demo-
orotic party are the principles of the Constitution
of the United States, and for the purpose of aid-
ing in their perpetuation, and to assist in restor-
ing and maintaining all of the States in their Con-
stitutional rights in the Union, and to preserve,
protect and defend the Constitution, and to cause
the Federal Government to be administered as
was intended by the founders thereof, have associ-
ated themselves together under the name of "The
Democratic Association of Baltimore City."
