CHAPTER 408.
AN ACT supplementary to an Act passed Janu-
ary 30th, 1868, relating to the amount of Sta-
tionery furnished to the members and officers of
the General Assemby, and to provide a system
of commutation, and to add an additional Sec-
tion thereto.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Act passed January thir-
tieth, eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, entitled
"An Act to repeal Section first of the Act passed
March twenty-third, eighteen hundred and sixty-
seven, Chapter one hundred and eighty-seven,"
entitled "An Act to limit the amount of Station-
ery furnished to members and officers of the Gen-
eral Assembly, and to provide a system of com-
mutation," be and the same is hereby amended,
by adding an additional Section thereto, so as to
read as follows :

Sec. 2. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 409.
AN ACT to amend and add additional Sections to
the Act passed at the January Session, eighteen
hundred and sixty-seven, of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, entitled "An Act to establish
and incorporate an Asylum for the Deaf and
Dumb of the State of Maryland," to follow Sec-
tion thirteen.

WHEREAS it is represented to this General As-
sembly that the Board of Visitors of the Deaf
and Dumb Mates of the State of Maryland failed
to meet and organize at the time prescribed by
