CHAPTER 403.

AN ACT to provide for the indexing the records
in the office of the Register of Wills for Alle-
gany County.
|
 
|
SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Register of Wills for Alle-
gany County be and he is hereby authorized and
empowered to procure books and make a general
index of the records of said office.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That upon the
completion of said indexing, the Commissioners of
said county shall levy for the use of said Register,
as other county charges are levied, such sum of
money as the said indexing shall amount to, at the
rate now allowed by law to Registers for recording
and indexing, that is to say : five cents for each
name so indexed, and also an amount sufficient
to pay for said books.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act
shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 404.
AN ACT to repeal Section sixteen of Article
eleven of the Code of Public General Laws,
entitled "Attorneys at Law and Attorneys in
Fact," and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

SECTION 1, Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Section sixteen of Article
eleven of the Code of Public General Laws be
and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted to
read as follows :
