the same being part of the land owned by Balti-
more County, and designated as lot No. 2 (two)
on the map of the " Almshouse Property," and
which is described as follows : Beginning for the
same at the angle formed by the intersection of the
Calverton road and the Garrison Forrest road, and
having for its boundaries the intersected sides of
said roads, and an East and West line running
from one of said roads to the other, which line shall
be parallel with the Franklin Turnpike Road.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Board of
School Commissioners shall have said lot of ground
surveyed by the County Surveyor, and the deed for
the same shall be made in accordance with the
courses and distances determined by said survey,
and the said County Cornmissioners shall forthwith
execute said deed.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 394.
AN ACT to amend an Act entitled An Act to in-
corporate the Safe Deposit Company of Balti-
more.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Safe Deposit Company of
Baltimore be and the same is hereby authorized
and empowered to receive and take by deed or de-
vise, any property, real or personal, in trust, and
to assume and execute any trust so created and de-
clared; provided, that nothing herein contained
shall be taken to enlarge the power of said Com-
pany to hold real estate, except as trustee, and pro-
vided that said Company shall not act as trustee
under any conveyance of real or personal property
intended solely to secure the payment of debts.
