formed Congregation of Mount Zion Church, Fred-
erick county, have applied to the Legislature of
Maryland to make valid said bequest and for rem-
edy thereof:

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the legacy of one thousand
dollars bequeathed by Thomas B. Kessler, late of
Frederick county, State of Maryland, deceased, by
his last will dated January twenty-eighth, eighteen
hundred and sixty-eight, to Peter Beard, in trust
for the benefit of Mount Zion German Reformed
Church of Frederick county, be and the same is
hereby made valid to all intents and purposes, and
that the assent of this Legislature is hereby given
to said bequest.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the administra-
tors with the will annexed of said Thomas B.
Kessler, deceased, are hereby authorized and em-
powered to pay over said legacy to the trustees
of the German Reformed Congregation of Mount
Zion Church, Frederick county, to be held by such
trustees and their successors in office, upon the
trust conferred in relation thereto upon Peter
Beard, now deceased, by the will of said Thomas
B. Kessler.

Sec. 3 . And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
