CHAPTER 377.
AN ACT to amend and re-enact Section two hun-
dred and thirteen of Article four of the Code
of Public Local Laws, title " City of Balti-
more," sub-title " Election."

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section two hundred and thirteen
of Article four, Code of Public Local Laws, enti-
tled "City of Baltimore," sub-title "Elections,"
be and the same is hereby amended and re-enac-
ted so as to read as follows :

213. Each of the said judges, as soon as may
be after his appointment, and before proceeding to
act as such judge of election, shall take the oath
or affirmation prescribed by the thirty-fifth Article
of the Public General Laws, as amended by the
Act of the General Assembly, passed at the Janu-
ary Session thereof, in the year eighteen hundred
and sixty-seven, Chapter three hundred and sev-
enty-four, repealing and adopting a substitute for
Section nine of said Article, and every clerk of
said election, as soon as may be after his appoint-
ment, and before he enters any vote on the poll
book, shall take the oath or affirmation prescribed
in the tenth Section of said Article thirty-five
of the Public General Laws ; and the said judges
and clerks respectively, shall likewise make oath
or affirmation well and faithfully to discharge the
duties, by this Article, imposed on them respec-
tively, or which may be assigned to them respec-
tively, during their official term by law.
