right and proper that said Bonig should have a
proper right and title for the property thus ac-
quired by him.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Hanson Willison, late Sheriff
of Allegany county, be and he is hereby authorized
and required to make a special return to the Circuit
Court for Allegany county, of all his proceedings
in and about said sale under the writ of Fieri Fa-
cias referred to in the preamble to this Act,
and that the said Circuit Court for Allegany
shall be and is hereby authorized and empowered
upon such return, and upon being satisfied by affi-
davit or otherwise, that the papers referred to in
said preamble have been lost, to proceed in the
matter of the ratification and confirmation of said
sale precisely as is provided in the Maryland Code
of Public General Laws, Article 85, Sections 10,
11, 12 and 13, in regard to the ratification of sales
under execution from a Justice of the Peace.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted , That upon the final
ratification of such sale by said Circuit Court, un-
der the proceedings aforesaid, the said Hanson
Willison, late Sheriff as aforesaid, shall be and is
hereby authorized and required to convey the said
real estate so sold by him as aforesaid to the pur-
chaser thereof, or to her assignee or assignees ; and
that the deed of conveyance from him, when pro-
perly executed and acknowledged, shall have the
same effect and force in law as in all other cases
of land sold and conveyed by Sheriffs or Consta-
bles.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from and after the date of its passage.
