loss by others, during all the time he, she or they
may be so in default, any law or statute of this
State to the contrary thereof in anywise notwith-
standing.

Rescind.

Sec. 12. And be it enacted, That the said Com-
pany shall have full power and authority to rescind
or revoke any policy of insurance by them issued
whenever they shall deem it for the interest of
said Company so to do.

Reservation.

Sec. 13. And be it enacted, That the Legislature
reserves to itself the right to change, alter or an-
nul this Act of incorporation at pleasure.

CHAPTER 356.

AN ACT to authorize and require Hanson Willi-
son, as late Sheriff of Allegany county, to con-
vey certain real estate situated in Grantsville,
in said county, as in said act provided.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, Hanson Willison, late Sheriff of Al-
legany county, on or about 'the ninth of September,
1862, sold under a writ of Fi. Fa., issued by some
Justice of the Peace of said county, an undivided
half of a lot of ground adjoining the "John Lay-
man lot" in Grantsville, in said county, to Cath-
erine Fuller, wife of Elijah Fuller ; and whereas,
the same property was afterwards sold by said
Catherine, to a certain Perry Shutz, now deceased,
and by him sold to Augustus Bonig, of said county,
who has fully paid for, now owns and occupies
the same, but has no conveyance therefor ; and
whereas, all the papers in connection with and au-
thorizing said sale have been lost or mislaid, and
cannot flow be found, thereby preventing a ratifi-
cation of said sale, and a conveyance of said pro-
perty so sold by said Sheriff ; and whereas, it is
