CHAPTER 287.
AN ACT to add an additional Section to the Pub-
lic Local Laws of Dorchester County, Article
ten, Dorchester County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That an additional Section be added
to the Public Local Laws of Dorchester County,
Article ten, Dorchester County, to read as follows :

Sec. 185. And be it enacted, That the County
Commissioners of Dorchester County are hereby
authorized and empowered to appoint Road Super-
visors for the roads and sub-divisions of the roads
in said county, whose duties shall be such as are
now or may be prescribed by law ; and for which
they shall receive a compensation of two dollars
per day, not to exceed ten days in each year, and
upon any Supervisor refusing or neglecting to dis-
charge the duties of road Supervisor after being so
appointed, he shall, upon proof and conviction
thereof in the County Court, be fined a sum not
exceeding fifty dollars ; provided no person shall
be compelled to serve more than one year in three
years.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 288.
AN ACT to incorporate the Baltimore and North
Point Turnpike Road Company.
|
 
|
|
SECTION I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That a Company be and the same is
hereby incorporated to make a turnpike road, com-
mencing at the eastern boundary of the City of
Baltimore, at the terminus of Eastern avenue, and
