Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall

CHAPTER 286.
AN ACT to repeal the Act of eighteen hundred
and sixty-four, Chapter two hundred and sixty-
seven, providing for a State subscription to
" Wingate's Maryland Register," and to re-
enact the same with amendments.

Librarian to
subscribe.
|
SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the State Librarian be and he
is hereby authorized and directed to subscribe for
three hundred copies of the next and third pub-
lished edition of " Wingate's Maryland Register,"
when published by James Wingate, and that
upon the delivery of said books to the State Li-
brary, the Comptroller of the Treasury is hereby
directed to issue his warrant to the Treasurer to
pay said James Wingate for the said "Maryland
Register," at the rate of four dollars per copy.

Distribute.
|
Sec. 2, And be it enacted, That two hundred
and fifty copies of said " Wingate's Maryland
Register " shall be distributed by the State Libra-
rian to such State and county officers in the various
counties and the city of Baltimore, or exchanged
for useful publications in other States as the Gov-
ernor shall direct.

Repealed.
|
Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the Act of eigh-
teen hundred and sixty-four, Chapter two hundred
and sixty-seven, is hereby repealed.

Sec, 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage
