270 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 5,

The Senate bill entitled an Act regulating the number and
prescribing the powers and duties of the County Commis-
sioners for Wicomico county.

Which was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

Also,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 153, passed
January session, 1867, entitled an Act to add an additional
section to Article 30 of the Code of Public General Laws,
relating to Crimes and Punishments, and to re-enact the
same with amendments.

Which was read a second time and ordered to be en grossed
for a third reading.

Also.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to carry into effect section
37 of Article 4, of the Constitution.

Which was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

Mr. Stewart, of Dorchester, chairman of a select commit-
tee, reported favorably

The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
County Commissioners of Dorchester county, to sell and con-
vey the " Alms House" property of said county, and invest
so much of the proceeds thereof as may he necessary in the
building or purchasing another Alms House for said county.

Which was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

Mr. Wenner, from a select committee, reported favorably
a bill entitled a supplement to an Act entitled an Act to in-
corporate the Burkettsville Female Seminary, passed Jan-
uary session, 1867, chapter 111.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Brown, from a select committee, reported favorably a
hill entitled an Act for the relief of Columbus Scarborough,
of Harford county.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Harden, from a select committee, reported favorably a
bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 329 of the Acts of 1867,
on selecting, drawing and summoning jurors in the counties,
and to re-enact Article 50 of the Code of Public General
Laws, from section 1 to section 15 inclusive, and sections 17
and 18, and to re-enact section 16, as amended by the Acts
of 1865.

Which was read a first time.
