It was found that Hon. Oden Bowie had received 63,694
votes, and H. Lenox Bond 22,050 votes, whereupon,

The Speaker declared that Hon. Oden Bowie, having
received a majority of all the votes cast, was duly elected
Governor of Maryland.

Mr. Keech. (the rules being suspended) submitted the fol-
lowing order :

Ordered, That leave of absence be granted to Mr. Wil-
liams for one day, on pressing business;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Wentz, Chairman of a select committee, submitted the
following report:

The committee which was instructed to inquire as to the
cost to the State of Maryland of furnishing each member of
the House with a copy of the Code and its Supplements, begs
to report:

That the price of the Code and its Supplements, complete,
is $18 ; that it will cost the State of Maryland $1,548 to
supply each member of this House with a copy, and that the
House can be furnished therewith within three days.

The committee also recommend the adoption of the follow-
ing order:

Ordered, That the State Librarian be instructed to supply
each member of the House of Delegates with a copy of the
Code and its Supplements.

C. BOHN SLINGLUFF,
NOAH BOWLUS.
Which was read.

Mr. Pentland submitted the following amendment-to the
order recommended for adoption by the committee:—the
said copies of the Code and its Supplements to be returned
to the Library at the close of the session ;

Pending the consideration of which, at 3 P. M.,

On motion of Mr. Biddison,
The House adjourned until to-morrow morning at eleven

o clock.
