W. Fisher, and sundry other citizens of Denton, in Caroline
county, for the repeal of the present school law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Edu-
cation.

Mr. Williams presented the petition of 36 citizens of
Prince George's county, praying the passage of an Act
creating an election district out of the 4th, 5th and 8th Elec-
tion Districts of said county.

Which was read and referred to the Prince George's dele-
gation.

Mr. Corbin presented the petition of the citizens of Dame's
Quarter District, in Somerset county, for the appointment of
an additional Justice of the Peace and Constable for said

district.

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Corbin, Horsey,
and Smith, of Worcester.

Mr. Smith, of Worcester, presented the petition of Jas. H.
Young, and other citizens of Worcester county, to repeal the
Act to incorporate the town of Newtown, Worcester

county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpo-
rations.

Mr. Ptose submitted the following order :

Ordered, That the Commissioners of Talbot and Caroline
counties furnish this House, at as early a day as practicable,
a lull account of the receipts and expenditures of Dover Bridge
Company; also, the names of all persons indebted to said
Company, and the amount due by each person so named.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Conway submitted the following order :

Ordered, That Mr. John A. Marshall be granted leave of
absence for two days, commencing with to-day.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Bowlus submitted the following order :

Ordered, That Mr. Sudler have leave of absence for eight
ays from to-day.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Smith, of Worcester, submitted the following order :

Ordered, That none of the officers of this House shall have
have of absence, except by consent of the Speaker.
Which was adopted.
