Leave was granted to the Committee on Education to intro-
duce a bill to authorize the Governor of the State of Maryland
to purchase of the city of Baltimore the property known as
the Baltimore City College, for the use of the State Normal
School.
On motion of Mr. Deal,
Leave was granted to the Anne Arundel Delegation to
report a hill entitled, an Act to repeal section 194 of Article
8, of the Public Local Laws, entitled Anne Arundel county,
sub-title Sheriff, and to re-enact another section in lieu thereof
relating to fees of Sheriff, for keeping and boarding prisoners.
On motion of Mr. Bond of Baltimore city,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill to amend an Act entitled an Act to add a new
section to Article 10, of the Code of Public General Laws
entitled, "Attachments.''
On motion of Mr. Mullin,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill to repeal Sec. 58, of Art. 16, of the Code of
Public General Laws under the title of Chancery Jurisdic-
tion, and to re-enact the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Devecmon,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 202 of the
30th Article of the Code of Public General Laws, and re-
enact the same with amendments.
The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following
hills :
A bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
trustees of the camp-meeting property in Baltimore county
of the Methodist Episcopal Church of Great Falls Circuit to
sell and convey certain real estate in said county.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.
A bill entitled an Act to repeal the 89th section of Article
16 of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled Chancery,
and relating to process against non-resident infant defend-
ants, as amended by the Act of 1864, chapter 89, and to
insert in said Article, in lieu of the section so repealed, the
following section, relating to process against non-resident
infant defendants.
