deem proper, not exceeding the sum of fifty thou-
sand dollars in anyone year, and in the whole not
exceeding the sum of one hundred thousand dollars,
for the improvement of the Public Parks of the
said city, the authority now given being that re-
quired by the seventh Section of Article eleven of
the Constitution of this State, to enable the said
Mayor and City Council to make appropriation at
their discretion within the above limits for the
purpose aforesaid.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT entitled " A Supplement to the Act passed
by the General Assembly of Maryland at January
Session, eighteen hundred and sixty, entitled
' An Act to incorporate a Company to build a
turnpike road from Liberty town, in Frederick
County, to intersect the Woodsborough and
Frederick Turnpike Road at or near the Mon-
ocacy Bridge,' and its Supplement passed at
January Session, eighteen hundred and sixty-
seven, of the' General Assembly of Maryland,
Chapter 230."

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Managers of said Company,
elected pursuant to the provisions of the Supple-
mental Act of January Session, eighteen hundred
and sixty-seven, Chapter 230, and their successors
in office, shall have the power and authority to
build and construct the turnpike road from its
