CHAPTER 31.

AN ACT to repeal Sections one, two, three, nine,
eleven and nineteen of Article twenty-one, of
the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Wash-
ington County," sub-title, "Alms House,'
and to re-enact the same with amendments.
|
Repeal
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Sections one, two, three, nine,
eleven and nineteen of Article twenty-one, of the
Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Washington
|
Re-enacted

County," sab-title, "Alms House," be and the
same are hereby repealed, and re-enacted so as to
read as follows :

Trustees of
the poor.
|
Sec. 1. The County Commissioners of Washing-
ton County shall on or before the first Monday of
March, in each and every year, appoint three dis-
creet persons, inhabitants of said county, to act as
trustees of the poor in said county, from and after
the reception of their commissions, and qualify as
said trustees, and to act in such capacity until their
successors shall he appointed.
Sec. 2. The clerk of the County Commissioners
shall, within five days after such appointment,
make out and deliver to each of said trustees, so

Sec. 3. The trustees, so appointed, and notified
of their appointment, under the penalty of twenty-
five dollars, shall accept said office, and shall meet
