Mr. Richards submitted the following order :

Ordered, That a committee of three he appointed by the
chair to investigate whether all the public documents which
have been ordered by this House to be furnished to the mem-
bers thereof have been so furnished, and if so in what pro-

portions, and if not the reason of the delay.

Which was adopted and Messrs. Richards, Herbert and
Smith, of Baltimore city, constituted said committee.

Mr. Bond, of Baltimore city, submitted the following
order:

Ordered, That Mr. Colton, of Baltimore city, be granted
leave of absence for this day.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Rohrer submitted the following order :

Ordered, That it be entered upon the Journal that Mr.
Seibert is absent from his seat in this House on account of
sickness.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Dutrow submitted the following order :

Ordered, That it he placed upon the Journal of this House,

that Mr. Albaugh has been absent from his seat since Fri-
day last, on account of indisposition.

Which was adopted.

Mr. McElroy submitted the following order :

Ordered, That the Hon. Isaac D. Jones, Attorney General
of this State, report to this House as soon as possible, his
opinion respecting the validity of the election of Hon. Wm.
T. Hamilton as United States Senator, and whether the said
election was or was not in conflict with the Acts of 1865 and
1866, chap. 245, of the laws of the United States, and Art. 2
of the Declaration of Rights of the present Constitution of
Maryland, or any law of the State of Maryland; and whether
in his opinion, or not, the Governor of this State is not bound
under the Act of Congress and the Constitution of this State,
above referred to, to issue a certificate of election to the Hon.
Wm. T. Hamilton as Senator elect for this State for six years
from the 4th day of March 1869.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Worthington submitted the following order :

Ordered, That leave of absence be granted to John H.

Jordan, for one day.

Which was adopted.
