Said bill was then sent to the Senate.

The bill entitled an Act appropriating the stuns of
money therein mentioned to pav the claims of Plum-
mer & Usilton, Wm. H. Councell, E. E. Ewing, E. F. Per-
kins, N. H. Green, Dr. Montgomery Johns, Samuel L. Gei-
singer, John T. Watkins, Edwin M, Shipley. Samuel Smith
and Geo. W. Murdoch,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered

A bill entitled an Act to amend the 37th Article of the
Public General Laws, by repealing the 2d section of said
Article, relating to the competency of witnesses and the ex-
amination of parties, as amended by the Act of 1864, chapter
109, and inserting in said Article, in lieu of the said section
so repealed, the following section, relating to the competency
of witnesses and the examination of parties.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to
pay Benjamin Standiford, Tax Collector, for overpayment
into the Treasury for the year 1865.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Claims.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act regulating the number and pre-
scribing the powers and duties of the County Commissioners
for Wicomico county.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.

On motion of Mr. Blake,

At 21/4 o'clock, P, M., the House adjourned until Monday,
at 12 o'clock, M.
