NEGATIVE — None.

 

Said bill was then sent to the Senate.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize the Delaware Rail
Road Company to extend a branch railroad across the State
line into Kent county, Maryland,

Being upon a third reading,

Mr. Sudler (by unanimous consent) submitted the following
amendment.

SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, that if the said Dela-
ware Railroad Company shall not have completed the branch
railroad hereinbefore described, so that trains run over it
within two years from the date of the passage of this Act,
then this Act shall be null and void ; and provided further
that nothing in this Act shall entitle the said company to
any part of the money appropriated by the Act of 1860, chap-
ter 303, to the Kent county or Queen Anne's & Kent County
Rail Road Companies, but that the sum appropriated by said
Act to the aforesaid companies, shall be paid to them re-
spectively.

Which was adopted.

Also, the following amendment:

SEC. 8. And he it further enacted, That in case the said
company shall hereafter misuse or abuse the privileges hereby
granted, the General Assembly shall have power to revoke
or annul this charter, and this Act shall take effect from the
'late of its passage.

Which was adopted.

The bill as amended was then read through a third time
and ordered to be engrossed ;
